CANSTRUCTION

The Canstruction Committee is responsible for the organization of our chapter’s team in the annual Canstruction competition. They are responsible for donations, design, and coordinating the build night for the event. This committee is most active in the Spring so if you are looking to be involved but don’t want to commit for a whole year, this is the one for you!

Canstruction is an annual event hosted by AIA Cleveland at the Southpark Mall. It is a competition where architects, engineers, contractors and students they mentor, compete to design and build giant structures made entirely from full cans of food. At the close of the competition all of the food from the Cleveland competition will be donated to Greater Cleveland Foodbank. In the past 13 years CANstruction Cleveland has donated over 201,000 meals to the Greater Cleveland Foodbank.
